They (are) those who disbelieved and hindered you from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam while the offering (was) prevented from reaching its place (of sacrifice). And if not (for) men believing and women believing not you knew them that you may trample them and would befall you from them any harm without knowledge. That may admit Allah to His Mercy whom He wills. If they had been apart surely, We would have punished those who disbelieved among them (with) a punishment painful.
[It was not for your enemies sake that He stayed your hands from them: for] it was they who were bent on denying the truth, and who debarred you from the Inviolable House of Worship and prevented your offering from reaching its destination. And had it not been for the believing men and believing women [in Mecca], whom you might have unwittingly trampled underfoot, and on whose account you might have become guilty, without knowing it, of a grievous wrong-: [had it not been for this, you would have been allowed to fight your way into the city: but you were forbidden to fight] so that [in time] God might admit to His grace whomever He wills. Had they [who deserve Our mercy and they whom We have condemned] been clearly discernible [to you], We would indeed have imposed grievous suffering [at your hands] on such of them as were bent on denying the truth
These it was who disbelieved and debarred you from the Inviolable Place of Worship, and debarred the offering from reaching its goal. And if it had not been for believing men and believing women, whom ye know not - lest ye should tread them under foot and thus incur guilt for them unknowingly; that Allah might bring into His mercy whom He will - If (the believers and the disbelievers) had been clearly separated We verily had punished those of them who disbelieved with painful punishment
They are the ones who denied Revelation and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque and the sacrificial animals, detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom ye did not know that ye were trampling down and on whose account a crime would have accrued to you without (your) knowledge, (Allah would have allowed you to force your way, but He held back your hands) that He may admit to His Mercy whom He will. If they had been apart, We should certainly have punished the Unbelievers among them with a grievous Punishment
They are the ones who persisted in disbelief and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque, preventing the sacrificial animals from reaching their destination. ˹We would have let you march through Mecca,˺ had there not been believing men and women, unknown to you. You might have trampled them underfoot, incurring guilt for ˹what you did to˺ them unknowingly. That was so Allah may admit into His mercy whoever He wills. Had those ˹unknown˺ believers stood apart, We would have certainly inflicted a painful punishment on the disbelievers.
It is they who denied the truth, and barred you from the Sacred House, and prevented the offering from reaching its destination. Were it not for some believing men and believing women, whom you did not know, you were about to hurt them, and become unknowingly guilty. Thus God admits into His mercy whomever He wills. Had the unbelievers been clearly distinguishable, We would have inflicted on them a painful punishment.
It was they who were bent on denying the truth, and who debarred you from the Sacred Mosque and who prevented your offering from reaching its place of sacrifice. And had it not been for the believing men and believing women [in Makkah] whom you might unwittingly have trampled underfoot, and on whose account you might have, unknowingly, become guilty, [God would have commanded you to fight it out with them; but He ordained it thus] so that He may bring whoever He will into His mercy. If they [the believers] had been clearly separated, We would have punished those who were bent on denying the truth with a painful punishment
It is they who disbelieved and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and (turned off) the offering withheld from arriving at its destined place; and were it not for the believing men and the believing women, whom, not having known, you might have trodden down, and thus something hateful might have afflicted you on their account without knowledge-- so that Allah may cause to enter into His mercy whomsoever He pleases; had they been widely separated one from another, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved from among them with a painful punishment
They were ungrateful, and they barred you from the Masjid al-Haram, and were ones who detained the sacrificial gift from reaching its place of sacrifice. If it had not been for men, ones who believe, and for women, ones who believe, whom you know not that you tread on them and guilt should light on you without your knowledge. This was so that God may cause to enter into His mercy whomever He wills. If they were clearly apart, separated, We would have punished those who were ungrateful among them with a painful punishment.
They are the ones who disbelieved and blocked you from [reaching] the Hallowed Mosque so the offerings were hindered from reaching their destination. If it had not been for some men who believed and some women who believed whom you did not recognize and would have trampled down, an outrage would have afflicted you because of them without [your] even knowing it, so that God will show anyone He wishes into His mercy. If they had dispersed, We would still have punished those of them who disbelieved with painful torment.
They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from the sacred Masjid (of Makkah) and detained the sacrificed animals from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women (in Makkah) whom you did not know, and you may trample (heavily burst) them under your feet and thus incurring a sin committed by you without your knowledge (but Allah held back your hands), so that Allah may admit to His Mercy whom He wills. If they (believers and disbelievers) should have been apart, We would have punished those of them who disbelieved with painful punishment.
It is they who disbelieved and turned you from the Sacred Mosque and the offerings detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. And were it not for believing men and believing women whom you know not, lest you trample them, and thus incur guilt unknowingly—that God may cause whomsoever He will to enter into His Mercy—had they been clearly separated, We would surely have punished the disbelievers among them with a painful punishment
They are the ones who disbelieved, barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and prevented the offering from reaching its destination. If not for certain believing men and women, unknown to you, whom you might have inadvertently harmed, God would have allowed harm to befall them. But God brings into His mercy whom He wills. Had they been separated, We would’ve punished those among them who disbelieved with a great punishment.
It is they who disbelieved, and barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and prevented the offering from reaching its destination. Were it not for faithful men and faithful women, whom you did not know, you were about to hurt them, and became guilty of an unintentional crime. Thus God admits into His mercy whomever He wills. Had they dispersed, We would have punished those who disbelieved among them with a painful penalty
They happened to be those who have disbelieved and hindered you from Al-Masjid-al-Haram, and thus Al-Hadiya (the Gift of sacrificial animals) became detained — that it may reach its specified place. And had there not been Believing men and the Believing women, you people do not know them, so you will trample them; and because of them a serious deviation from the correct step inflicts you (and goes to your account as a sin) because of the absence of knowledge. (If the situation was not such, We would have allowed an armed encounter in place of a treaty of peace) — so that Allah may admit into His Mercy whom He may think proper. If (the two groups, i.e., the Believers and the disbelievers were not intermixed and had already) separated (to be recognised easily, then) surely We would have punished those who had disbelieved amongst you in the form of a painful torment (by the aided hands of the Believing army)
They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from the Masjid-al-Haram (Sacred Mosque - Ka'bah) and prevented your offerings from reaching their destination. Had there not been believing men and believing women in the city of Mecca, whom you did not know, and their possibility of being trampled under your feet and thus incurring unwitting guilt on their account, Allah would have allowed you to fight, but He held back your hands, so that He may admit to His mercy whom He will. Had the believers stood apart from them, We would certainly have punished the disbelievers among them with painful punishment
They are (the ones) who disbelieved and barred you from the Inviolable Mosque and (barred) the consecrated offering (also) from reaching its lawful destination. And had it not been for (some) believing men and (some) believing women whom you did not know, (for fear) that you should trample (i.e., kill them) them, and so dishonor would afflict you on their account without (your) knowing it, that Allah may cause whomever He decides to enter into His mercy. If they (i.e., believers and disbelivers) had been made clearly distinct, indeed We would have tormented the ones who disbelieved among them with a painful torment
It was the disbelievers who kept you from the Sacred Mosque and prevented your sacrificial offering from reaching its proper place. God would not have kept you from fighting the disbelievers, had there not been believing men and women (among them) whom you did not know and whom you might have unknowingly harmed. God did this because He grants mercy to whomever He wants. Had they been distinguishable from the believers, We would certainly have punished them with a painful torment
They are those who disbelieved and prevented you from the Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid-ul-Haram ), and (prevented) the sacrificial animals that were detained from reaching their due place. And (Allah would have allowed you to fight,) had there not been believing men and believing women whom you did not know that you might have trampled them, and thus a painful situation might have arisen for you because of them unknowingly; (This situation was avoided) so that Allah may admit to His mercy whom He wills. And if they (the believing men and women) had moved (from Makkah), We would surely have punished those of them who disbelieved with a painful punishment
These are the very people who denied the Message, and debarred you from the Sacred Masjid, and prevented your offerings from reaching their destination. Therein were believing men and believing women whom you did not know, and you could have harmed them. And on their account you could have carried guilt without knowing it. Thus Allah admits into His Grace whoever seeks it. Now if the rejecters persist in aggression, We shall indeed clearly separate them (from the believers) and punish them with an awful doom
It is they, the unbelievers, who prevented you from reaching the Holy mosque and prevented the animals pledged for sacrifice from reaching the site of the sacrificial slaughter. But, there were believing men and women in their midst whom you did not know. Unwittingly, you would have killed them, and unknowingly you would have suffered the sin (of having killed the believers). Therefore, Allah restrained your hands, so that He might admit into His mercy whomever He wants. Had they (the believing men and women) stood apart, We would have punished the disbelievers with the painful punishment
They are the ones who disbelieved the Message and stopped you from the Sacred Mosque (at Makkah) and detained the sacrificial animals from reaching their place of sacrifice. If there were no believing men and believing women whom you did not know, that you were pushing aside and killed, and on whose account a crime would have resulted from you without (your) knowledge, (Allah would have allowed you to force your way, but He withheld your hands) that He may admit to His Mercy whom He will. If they were identified, We, certainly would have punished the unbelievers among them with a painful punishment
They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from al-Masjid al-iaram while the offering was prevented from reaching its place of sacrifice. And if not for believing men and believing women whom you did not know - that you might trample them and there would befall you because of them dishonor without [your] knowledge - [you would have been permitted to enter Makkah]. [This was so] that Allah might admit to His mercy whom He willed. If they had been apart [from them], We would have punished those who disbelieved among them with painful punishmen
They are the ones who rejected and barred you from the Restricted Temple, and barred your donations from reaching their destination. And there had been believing men and women whom you did not know, and you may have hurt them, and on whose account you would have committed a sin unknowingly. God will admit into His mercy whomever He wills. Had they become separated, We would then have punished those of them who rejected with a painful retribution
They were the ones who disbelieved, who barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and who prevented the offering from reaching its place of sacrifice. If there had not been among them, unknown to you, believing men and women whom you would have trampled underfoot, inadvertently incurring guilt on their account- God brings whoever He will into His mercy- if the [believers] had been clearly separated, We would have inflicted a painful punishment on the disbelievers
They were those who disbelieved and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque and hindered the detained offering that it should arrive at the goal thereof. And had it not been for believing men and believin women whom ye knew not, and that ye might have trampled on them and thus there might have befallen you crime on their account unwittingly. He had not restrained your hands from them. But this He did that He might bring into His mercy whomsoever He will. Had they been distinguished one from another, surely We had tormented those who disbelieved among them with a torment afflictive
It were those who disbelieved who hindered you from (going to) the Holy Mosque, preventing your offerings from arriving at the place of sacrifice. Had it not been for (the presence of) believers, men and women, (among the unbelievers) of whom you were unaware, and whom you might have trampled and thus incurred guilt unknowingly on account of them, (the matter would have been settled). (But this was not done) so that God may admit into His favour whom He willed. If these (believers) had been separated from them, He would have inflicted a grievous punishment on the unbelievers
They are those who were kafir and debarred you from the Masjid al-Haram and prevented the sacrifice from reaching its proper place, and had it not been for some men and women who are muminun, whom you did not know and might trample underfoot, and so unknowingly incur blame on their account so that Allah might admit into His mercy those He wills and had those among them who are kafir been clearly distinguishable, We would have punished them with a painful punishment.
(God defeated them because) they are the ones who have disbelieved and who barred you from (visiting) the Sacred Mosque and (prevented) the offerings from reaching their destination. And had there not been (in Makkah) believing men and believing women whom you did not know and therefore might have trodden down, and thus something undesired might have afflicted you on their account (for what you did) unknowingly, (God would not have restrained your hands from fighting. But He restrained your hands) so that He might admit to His mercy whom He wills (by sparing the believers in Makkah and enabling many among the Makkans to embrace Islam in time). If they (the believers and unbelievers in Makkah) had been clearly separated, We would certainly have punished those among them who disbelieved with a painful punishment
They are the ones who disbelieved and barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and kept the offering from reaching its destination. And were it not for [certain] faithful men and faithful women, whom you did not know —lest you should trample them, and thus blame for [killing] them should fall on you unawares; [He held you back] so that Allah may admit into His mercy whomever He wishes. And had they been separate, We would have surely punished the faithless among them with a painful punishment
It is they who disbelieved and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and prevented the offering from reaching its destined place. Were it not for the believing men and the believing women (in Mecca), whom you knew not that you were trampling, thereby in
They are those who disbelieved, and obstructed you from the Sacred Mosque, and the offering was prevented to reach its place (of sacrifice). And (you would have attacked Mecca) if it was not for the believing men and believing women whom you did not know that you would have unknowingly trampled them and then you would have been afflicted by disgrace from them. For God admits anyone He wants into His mercy. If they (believers and disbelievers) were apart, We would have certainly punished those among them who disbelieved with a painful punishment.
They are the ones who denied revelation and hindered you from the Sacred Masjid and the sacrificial animals which they kept from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom you did not know you were trampling, and on whose account a crime would have come to you without your knowledge, God would have allowed you to force your way. But He held back your hands, so that He may admit to His mercy those whom He wills. If they had been apart, We would certainly have punished the unbelievers among them with a terrible punishment
The disbelievers stopped you from entering the Sacred Mosque, and your sacrificial animals from reaching their place of sacrifice. If it were not for the believing men and women in Makkah – about whom you were unaware – you may have trampled them, thereby unwittingly incurring guilt. So Allah may admit in to His kindness who He pleases. Had the believers separated themselves from the Makkans then We would have severely punished the disbelievers
They are the ones who disbelieved and barred you from the Inviolable Mosque and prevented the animals you had designated for sacrifice from reaching the place of their offering. If it had not been for the believing men and believing women (who lived in Makkah and) whom you did not know, and had there not been the fear that you might trample on them and unwittingly incur blame on their account, (then fighting would not have been put to a stop. It was stopped so that) Allah may admit to His Mercy whomsoever He pleases. Had those believers been separated from the rest, We would certainly have inflicted a grievous chastise-ment on those of them [i.e. the Makkans) who disbelieved
They are the ones who rejected and barred you from the Restricted Temple, and barred your donations from reaching their destination. And there had been believing men and believing women whom you did not know, and you may have hurt them, and on whose account you would have incurred a sin unknowingly. God will admit into His mercy whoever He wills. Had they become separated, We would then have punished those from them who rejected with a painful retribution
They were those who suppressed the Truth, hindered you from going to the Sacred Mosque and prevented your offering from reaching its place of sacrifice. And [Allah would have commanded you to fight them] had it not been for the believing men and believing women [in Makkah] whom you might unwittingly have trodden down, and on whose account you might have, unknowingly, become guilty. [Allah wit eld your hands from the suppressors of Truth] so that He may bring whoever He will into His mercy. If they [the believers] had been clearly separated [from the non-believers], We would have punished those who have suppressed the Truth with a painful punishment
They are those who disbelieved and hindered you from the Sacred mosque, and the sacrificial animals were detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. And if it had not been for certain believing men and some believing women whom you knew not that you might have trampled them, and there befall you any harm from them unknowingly, We would have permitted you to fight. This protection of theirs is for that Allah may admit into His mercy whom He pleases. If they had been separated, necessarily then We would have punished the infidels among them with a painful punishment.
It is they who disbelieved and barred you from the Sacred Masjid, and even prevented your offerings from reaching their destination. There were believing men and women (within the enemy camp) whom you did not know, and you were about to hurt them, unknowingly. GOD thus admits into His mercy whomever He wills. If they persist, He will requite those among them who disbelieve with a painful retribution.
They are those who disbelieved and barred you from the Holy Mosque and the offering detained so as not to reach its place of sacrifice if it had not been for certain believing men and certain believing women whom you did not know, you might have trampled upon them, and so sin reached you because of (killing) them while you did not know. In order that Allah admits into His Mercy whom He will, had they (the believers) been easy to distinguish, We would have punished the unbelievers among them with a painful punishment
It is they who disbelieved and debarred you from the Sacred Mosque -- and the offering withheld from reaching its goal. And were it not for the believing men and the believing women, whom, not having known, you might have trodden down, and thus something hateful might have afflicted you on their account without knowledge -- so that Allah may admit to his mercy whom He pleases. Had they been apart, We would surely have chastised those who disbelieved from among them with a painful chastisement
They are those who disbelieved and prevented/stopped you from the Mosque the Forbidden/Sacred , and the offering designated/dedicated , that (E) it reaches its place/destination, and where it not for believing men , and believing women you did not know them, that (E) you invade/set foot on them, so strikes you from them harm without knowledge, (it is for) God to enter in His mercy whom He wills/wants, if they separated/dispersed We would have tortured those who disbelieved from them a painful torture
The disbelievers prevented you from performing your pilgrimage and sacrificing the animals, where they should be sacrificed. Had there not been certain believing men and women (in Mecca), whom you do not know, and the possibility of you killing them unintentionally at the midst of the confusion of the war, God would not have stopped your victorious capture of Mecca. God prevented the war [among other reasons, to give more time to disbelievers to weight it out and] to admit into His Mercy whoever He desires. If the believers were not in the middle of disbelievers, God would have severely punished the disbelievers
It was these who disbelieved and prevented you from the Sacred Mosque, and stopped the sacrificial animals from reaching their place; and were it not for some Muslim men and Muslim women, whom you do not know - lest you may crush them and unintentionally incur some violation due to them - Allah would have permitted you to slay them; this relief for them, is so that Allah may admit into His mercy whomever He wills; and had they been separated, We would have indeed punished the disbelievers among them with a painful punishment
It is they who disbelieved and debarred you from the Sacred Mosque and also prevented the dedicated offerings from reaching their place of sacrifice. And had it not been for some believing men and believing women who were then in Mecca and whom, not having known, you might have trampled down, and thus might have, on their account, incurred an unwitting guilt, HE would have permitted you to fight, but HE withheld you that HE might admit into HIS mercy whom HE will. If they had been clearly separated from the disbelievers, WE would have, surely, punished those of them who disbelieved with a grievous punishment
It is they who disbelieved and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque, and prevented the sacrificial animals as well that were kept from reaching their place. And had there not been many such believing men and women (present in Mecca) as you also did not know that you might crush them underfoot without knowing, and some harm and hardship might also be caused to you by them inadvertently, (We would have allowed you there and then to fight. But the victory of Mecca was delayed) so that Allah might admit to His mercy whom He willed. Had (the disbelievers and the believers there) distinguishably drawn apart from one another, We would have punished the disbelievers with a painful torment
These (your Makkan enemies) were the people who disbelieved and prevented you from the Holy Mosque while even the sacrificial animals were stopped from reaching their destination (- the place of sacrifice). Had not there been (at Makkah) some believing men and believing women as were unknown to you, and had there been no danger that (in case of war) you might have trodden them down and thus you might have incurred some harm unknowingly on their account, (We would have allowed you to invade Makkah but We did not allow this) so that Allah might show His mercy to him who wishes (to be shown mercy). Had these (believers living in Makkah) left from there (and had been separated from them), We would have surely punished these of them (-the Makkans) who disbelieved, with a woeful punishment
They are the ones who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and hindered you from AlMasjidalHaram (the sacred mosque of Makkah) and the sacrificial animals, detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom you did not know, that you may kill them, and on whose account a sin would have been committed by you without (your) knowledge, that Allah might bring into His Mercy whom He will, if they (the believers and the disbelievers) should have been apart, We verily had punished those of them who disbelieved, with painful torment
They are the ones who disbelieved, and barred you from the Holy Mosque and the offering, detained so as not to reach its place of sacrifice. If it had not been for certain men believers and certain women believers whom you knew not, lest you should trample them, and there befall you guilt unwittingly on their account (that God may admit into His mercy whom He will), had they been separated clearly, then We would have chastised the unbelievers among them with a painful chastisement
These are they who believed not, and hindered you from visiting the holy temple, and also hindered the offering, being detained, that it should not arrive at the place where it ought to be sacrificed. Had it not been that ye might have trampled on divers true believers, both men and women, whom ye knew not, being promiscuously assembled with the infidels, and that a crime might therefore have lighted on you on their account, without your knowledge, He had not restrained your hands from them: But this was done, that God might lead whom He pleaseth into his mercy. If they had been distinguished from one another, we had surely chastised such of them as believed not, with a severe chastisement
Those who misbelieved and turned (you) away from the Sacred Mosque, and (turned away) the offering, kept from arriving at its destined place; and had it not been for believing men and believing women whom ye knew not, whom ye might have trampled on, and so a crime might have occurred to you on their account without your knowledge - that God may make whomsoever He pleases enter into His mercy. Had they been distinct from one another, we would have tormented those of them who misbelieved with grievous woe
These are they who believed not, and kept you away from the sacred Mosque, as well as the offering which was prevented from reaching the place of sacrifice. And had it not been that ye would have trodden down believers, both men and women, whom ye knew not, so that a crime might have lighted on you without your knowledge on their account, and that God would bring whom He will within His mercy, this would have been otherwise ordered. Had they been apart, we had surely punished such of them as believed not, with a sore punishment
It was they who disbelieved and debarred you from the Sacred Mosque and prevented your offerings from reaching their destination. But for the fear that you might have trampled underfoot believing men and women unknown to you and thus incurred unwitting guilt on their account, He ordained it thus that He might admit whom He will into His mercy. Had they stood apart from them, We would have inflicted a woeful punishment on those of them who were unbelievers
It was they who disbelieved and hindered you from the sacred mosque and the sacrifice held in check from reaching its destination. Were it not for believing men and believing women whom you knew not, lest you trample on them, and a sin will accrue on you because of them unknowingly so that Allah may make enter into His mercy whom He pleases and Had they stood out from one another We surely would have punished the disbelievers from among them with a painful punishment.
They (Quraysh idolaters) are the ones who refused to acknowledge the absolute Oneness of Allâh, hindered you from entering the Sacred Mosque and even debarred your sacrificial animals from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had not been for certain Monotheistic Believers, men and women, whom you did not know, you might have trampled upon them, and thus, something hateful might have afflicted you unwittingly on their account, (We would have permitted you to enter Mecca but We did not allow this) so that Allâh may admit into His Mercy who He wills. If they had been apart (from them), We would have surely chastised those who persistently refuse to yield to the Truth among them with a painful torment.
They are the ones who reject (the truth) and prevent you from the sacred mosque and the intercepted offering from reaching its destination, and if there were not believing men and believing women whom you don´t know and whom you would pass over and for whom you would unknowingly be to blame - for Allah enters into His mercy whom He pleases -, if those had left We would have punished those who reject (the truth) amongst them with a painful punishment.
They are the ones who rejected faith and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque. [They hindered you] from the offering reaching its place [of sacrifice]. [Allah would have empowered you] if there were not believing men and women [among the unbelievers] unknown to you in your confrontation. You were about to hurt them. [That would have] caused you to commit a crime without your knowledge. In this way, He admitted to His mercy whom He wanted. If (those few believers among the unbelievers) had been apart, We would certainly have punished the unbelievers with a horrible punishment.
It is they who have denied, and barred youpl from the Inviolable Mosque, and prevented the offering from reaching its destination. And were it not for (the presence among them of) some faithful men and some faithful women whom you did not know of and whom you would have hurt, thus incurring dishonor unknowingly on their account…—that Allah may enter into His mercy whomever He wills. If they had been apart, We would have punished those of them who denied with a painful punishment.
They are the ones who disbelieved and blocked you from [reaching] the Hallowed Mosque so the offerings were hindered from reaching their destination. If it had not been for some men who believed and some women who believed whom you did not recognize and would have trampled down [during the conquer of Mecca], an outrage would have afflicted you because of them without [your] even knowing it, so that Allah (God) will show anyone He wishes into His mercy. If they had dispersed, We would still have punished those of them [people of Mecca) who disbelieved with painful torment.
They are who disbelieved, and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque, and the gift (the offering) was prevented from reaching its place of sacrifice. And if it were not for believing men and believing women whom you did not know so you might trample them, So, a dishonor because of them it could inflict you without knowledge, that Allah might enter into His mercy whom He willed. If they had stood apart, We would have tortured those who disbelieved among them with painful torment.
They are those who deny the knowledge of the reality, obstruct you from the Masjid al-Haram, and prevent the offerings from reaching their places... If it was not for the believing men and women (among them), of whom you are unaware, and thus could inadvertently trample and then be upset by it (Allah would not have prevented the battle)... This was so that Allah may admit whom He wills to His grace... If the (believers and nonbelievers) had been separate from one another, surely We would have punished those who disbelieved with a severe suffering. (Suffering does not befall a place where there are righteous people... 8:33, 29:32)
Those were the persons who did not believe and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and stopped the offering from reaching its destination. And had believing men and believing women not been there, whom you did not know and whom you would have trampled, then distress would have befallen you on account of them, unknowingly. (You were held back) so that Allah may make to enter into His mercy, whom He wills. Had they (the believers and infidels) been separated (one from another). We would have punished those who did not believe from among them, with a painful punishment.
These Meccans are they who have persistently denied Allah and stood in your way to obstruct your course to the Sacrosanct Mosque and the offering to where it be scarified; Had it not been for treading injuriously, unawares, upon the faithful believers -men and women-residing among these Meccans, which believers you did not know nor could you recognize, and the error of injuring them would be a crime, We would have allowed you to make a march for Macca; Allah extends His mercy to whom He will. Had they- the unknown believers- been dissimilar in appearance We would have afflicted the infidels among them -the Meccans- with a condign punishment
They are the ones who disbelieved and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque, and the offering was detained from reaching its place of sacrifice; and if not for men believers and women believers whom you did not know, that you would trample on them, then a crime would befall you from them without knowledge, that God may make whom He wills enter into His mercy. If they were separate, surely We would have punished those who disbelieved among them, painful punishment.
They are the ones who denied Revelation and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque and the sacrificial animals, detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom ye did not know that ye wer e trampling down and on whose account a crime would have accrued to you without (your) knowledge, (God would have allowed you to force your way, but He held back your hands) that He may admit to His Mercy whom He will. If they had been apart, We should certainly have punished the Unbelievers among them with a grievous Punishment
They (are) those who disbelieved and hindered you from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam while the offering (was) prevented from reaching its place (of sacrifice).
